Our resident chef, and installation manager, Ian ‘Davo’ Davidson, cooked up a storm at Blue Flame HQ for our annual Shrove Tuesday feast.
During lunch Davo whisked up his famous pancake batter and flipped 60 pancakes for the team.
We managed to chomp our way through 28 savoury pancakes and 32 sweet pancakes featuring the old lemon and sugar classic, bananas, chocolate spread and maple syrup.
We used the occasion to fundraise for an amazing Cornish charity – the Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust.
The lunch raised just over £60 and the money will go towards the charity’s £2.5 million New Heli appeal.
Davo said: “The team love the annual Pancake Day feast. It’s a great way to eat together and raise some money for a good cause.
“I chose Cornwall Air Ambulance this year as it’s a fantastic local charity that is making a real difference to saving lives.”
We all look forward to Pancake Day at Blue Flame. It’s great that we have someone with Davo’s culinary skills to keep us in flipping delicious pancakes. Thanks Davo!!
